I led a mixed-method research across three regions (US/EU/JP) and gathered comprehensive insights for a new SaaS concept of creative software monthly subscription. Based on these insights, stakeholders gained confidence with the project and approved funding to proceed with development.
Project Overview
( 2021 )
In addition to the hardware business, Wacom intended to offer a new SaaS of creative software monthly subscription. A validation research was needed to confirm the desirability and usability of this concept.
The business objectives were to validate if this concept is desirable, determine the acceptable price range, and identify the core features for MVP. The research highlights included studying three main potential regions (US/EU/JP), conducting deep-dive interviews with 30+ participants, and running 2 weeks of in-use testing with 15+ participants.

My role involved leading 5 research team members globally distributed across US/EU/JP, creating executive presentations, and presenting the findings to stakeholders.

Achievements
The gathered user insights successfully confirmed the desirability of this service and provided actionable requirements for executive presentation. Stakeholders gained confidence and approved funding to proceed with development. The research also revealed the need for new remote work technology essential for the MVP.
