The Woom Bicycle Community platform is designed to keep children's bicycles safe. It allows families to register their Woom bicycles and track their location. If a bicycle is stolen or sold to another family, the platform helps the community connect, fostering a sense of safety and belonging among like-minded users.
Project Overview
( 2024 )
Woom is a popular brand that specializes in making high-quality bikes for children. They are known for their lightweight frames, easy-to-use features, and overall durability. My role involved analysing Woom's brand promise, developing the experience concept, creating a mind map of the holistic Woom experience, and designing a wireframe for the Woom Community platform.

When families engage in acts of sharing and protecting common interests, it not only promotes sustainability but also fosters closer relationships among each other. Whether it's passing down bikes between friends or selling pre-loved bikes to neighbors, these shared experiences create lasting memories while teaching important values about compassion and generosity.

In the current registration experience, sometimes the frame number on the bike can be difficult to read due to poor engraving or wear and tear. This can make it challenging to register the bike or identify it in case of theft.
One possible solution is using a QR code instead of relying solely on the frame number for registration purposes. A QR code can be easily scanned using a smartphone app, providing instant access to bike information and simplifying the registration process.
Impact
Parents can register their child's bike with the Woom Bike Community to ensure warranty coverage and receive important safety updates or recalls. Registration also helps in case of theft or loss as it provides proof of ownership. In addition, the community allows tracking and connecting, promoting a sense of belonging among like-minded families.
